Botox

BOTOX® Cosmetic (onabotulinumtoxinA) is the only FDA-approved treatment to temporarily improve both moderate to severe frown lines between the brows and crow’s feet in adults. You can get treated in both areas at the same time—that’s the beauty of BOTOX® Cosmetic.

What Does Botox Do?

It works by blocking the transmission of nerve impulses to the injected muscles; this reduces the activity of the muscles that cause those persistent lines to form. BOTOX® Cosmetic is injected directly into the muscles between your brows. It tends to be more impactful for those moderate to severe frown lines between your brows that form over time due to muscle activity.

How Fast Does Botox Work?

Within days, you may see a marked improvement in the moderate to severe frown lines between your brows. Lines continue to improve for up to a month, and results can last for up to 4 months. In clinical trials, nearly 90% of men and women rated the improvement in their appearance as moderate to better 1 month after treatment. Results may vary.

How Long Does Botox Last?

Botox, like many botulinum toxin injections, usually lasts three to four months. However, depending on the patient, the results can vary from two to six months. The toxins wear off after three to six months, and muscles regain movement.

How Do I Prepare for Botox?

Schedule in Advance

Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine
You’ll be asked to avoid alcohol and caffeine at least 48 hours prior to treatment to avoid increased bruising or bleeding.
2 Weeks Post Chemical Peels
You’ll be asked to confirm it has been at least 2 weeks since your last facial or peel.
Avoid NSAIDs
Avoid medications: Stop taking blood thinners, aspirin, ibuprofen, and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) at least two days before your appointment.

What is the Aftercare for Botox?
