Platelet Rich Fibrin PRF
Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is a natural, non-invasive cosmetic treatment that uses a patient’s blood to rejuvenate skin. It is a fibrin matrix that contains platelets, leukocytes, cytokines, and stem cells. It acts as a binding site for platelets and growth factors, which promotes tissue regeneration by increasing the local concentration of growth factors in specific tissues. PRF can also trap growth factors, platelets, and cells, which can be released after a certain time.
How Does Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) Work?
PRF works by forming a fibrin matrix that keeps cells active and releases growth factors over a longer period. Fibrin stimulates stem cells, which improve collagen and elastin in the skin. PRF also responds positively to injury, which helps the skin heal at the cellular level.

How Fast Does Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) Work?
Here are some general guidelines for when to expect results from PRF injections:
-
1–3 weeks: Volume enhancement may be noticeable
-
3–6 weeks: New collagen and blood vessels may begin to grow
-
3–6 months: Fine lines and wrinkles may be reduced, and volume may be corrected
-
12 months–2 years: The effects of cosmetic PRF may last, depending on the individual
How Long Does Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) Last?
Most results will last about 1.5 years after the last injection. Therefore, we recommend a yearly maintenance injection after your series is complete.
