How Does Radiesse Work?
Radiesse is a cosmetic injectable treatment that stimulates collagen production in the skin. The gel matrix contains calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) microspheres that immediately plump and volumize the skin. The CaHA particles integrate into the skin and create a scaffold that stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. As the gel carrier breaks down, a network of collagen fibers forms that replaces the gel's correction. The collagen and elastin smooth lines and promote renewed skin structure.
How Fast Does Radiesse Work?
Radiesse is a dermal filler that starts working immediately, and you can see results as soon as your injections are complete. Your skin may look more voluminous within one to three days, and you can expect more significant results after about seven to 10 days. You may see additional improvements over the next two to four weeks, but most people don't get to enjoy their final results for four to six weeks.
How Long Does Radiesse Last?
Radiesse is a dermal filler that can last up to two years, but the results typically last 12–18 months. The duration of the results depends on several factors, including:

How Do I Prepare for Radiesse?
Avoid NSAIDs
Avoid medications: Stop taking blood thinners, aspirin, ibuprofen, and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) at least two days before your appointment.
Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine
You’ll be asked to avoid alcohol and caffeine at least 48 hours prior to treatment to avoid increased bruising or bleeding.
Supplement With Arnica
Take Arnica Montana 12X 2-3 days before treatment. Arnica is a dietary supplement that can reduce bleeding and inflammation.
What is the Aftercare for Radiesse?
Avoid Pressure
Avoid putting pressure on the treated area for six hours after the injection.
Avoid Heat
Avoid sunbathing, saunas, hot tubs, and hot showers for at least 24 hours after the injection.
Avoid Exercise
Avoid exercise for 24 hours after the injection.
